Johnny Softspot is an animated series pitch created by myself and Jack Moroney. It stars the titular character Johnny SoftSpot , a 21-year leaving cert student living in the county of Weitrim Derry. Johnny suffers slapping and neglect from those around him. Despite this, he remains positive and endures his harsh mistreatment ... until he's finally had enough.
The series is an animated comedy/drama targeting a young adult demographic. While being presented as your typical adult cartoon we hope to make it stand out not just with the premise but focus on interesting characters, cinematic techniques and expressive animation.

Johnny Softspot Teaser Trailer
Me and Jack created a 3 minute teaser based on the 10 minutes of our completed animatic. We felt the first 3 minutes perfectly summarize the style and tone of the show.
Jack's roles are animation and composition.
My roles are creating character rigs and animation.
The background work is done mostly by myself, Jack and a couple of other colleagues.
We have entered the teaser in some festivals so I cant share it here, however we made a teaser trailer for the "teaser". Any work here seen in my show reel is labelled accordingly.
