Drawing Substitutions
The rig contains different arms for specific poses. To get this effect I have an extra artwork on the overlay layer which is set up to appear in front of the joint being patched together. Having the two instances means I can swap freely to either. Same set up for the other tongue instance but in this case I have the entire colour and line on the overlay layer so it appears in front of the mouth.
HNDLS
I created a number of different handles for selecting parts of the rig. This is mainly for selecting parts of the rig that would otherwise be difficult to select in specific views.
Cutters
For the tank top I made it so the holes are cut out with cutters. Each cutter has its own deformer so it can be adjusted accordingly.
I did the same for the end of the tank top and all the shapes mask into each other for more variety.
